Good luck Aedan!

Aedan is celebrating walking and walking away from dialysis to raise money for the 2024 British Transplant Games where Aedan has been invited to represent the Alder Hey Kidney Transplant Team in Nottingham from 1-4 August. Donations allow for families to attend this annual event which celebrates life, promotes organ donation and allows families to meet who have been on similar journeys.
On Saturday 11th May 2024 Aedan will walk for 3 hours to raise money, this time represents the time he would have spent on dialysis. He travelled for treatment from Isle of Man every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until shortly before his 3rd birthday when a donor was found. Dialysis meant that Aedan had to sit for 3 hours and after treatment he would be tired and spent a lot of time sleeping. Aedan was delayed in his mobility because of so much time spent in a cot although has started walking after transplant.
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company have kindly agreed to support travel costs for Aedan to attend. With limited weekend flights, Aedan spent almost 2 years travelling by boat on a Friday night and Saturday afternoon for him to receive his Saturday morning dialysis.
Thank You for your fundraising event
