The Liverpool Santa Dash took place in December 2025, and the Kidney Fund is delighted to acknowledge the following.

Shafts Under 8’s team (and siblings!) raised an incredible £2,402 !!!! Well done everyone!

Owen, Leah and Holly from RDU together with Ronnie and his family raised £1,292 ! The Funds raised will be specifically used to help cover the cost of the Transplant Games in Sheffield later in August 2026.

Finally, In Memory of Mark Stanley Barlow.

In addition to funds raised at Mark’s funeral, Tara Higby ran the Santa Dash and raised the wonderful amount of £697. Tara said “My older brother was born premature. He was born weighing 2lbs, with three kidneys. Without the support of Alder Hey, and their kidney department, my brother would not have survived and lived such a fulfilling life. As his younger sister, I remember the days we spent whilst my brother was in critical care, the picnics, the family time and the support that Alder Hey afforded us, with the dedicated care from the nurses and doctors. Sadly, this year at the age of 59, my brother passed away. It has been the most devastating time. To loose him now and in such tragic circumstances has left a gaping hole.”
